About El Dorado Community Acupuncture

Meet Rosie

roselle3Roselle McNeilly is the owner and acupuncturist at El Dorado Community Acupuncture. She is a California Licensed Acupuncturist and has been providing affordable acupuncture care since February of 2008.  She holds a Master of Science degree in Oriental Medicine from the Acupuncture and Integrative Medicine College of Berkeley (2007), and a Bachelor of Arts degree in Sociology with a minor in Spanish from UC Berkeley (2001). ¡Se habla español!

Before opening EDCA Rosie was a founding partner of Oakland Acupuncture Project, a community acupuncture clinic in Oakland, California. During her six-plus years at OAP the business grew into a successful clinic that employed seven acupuncturists at two locations, and provided over 20,000 treatments per year. OAP is still thriving and has since opened a third location in Sacramento. Rosie was honored to be named a Woman Entrepreneur of the Year in 2011 by the Women’s Initiative for Self-Employment in Oakland.

Rosie and her family decided to move out of the Bay Area in the Summer of 2014. Family ties brought her to Shingle Springs (between Cameron Park and Placerville), and El Dorado Community Acupuncture was born! When she’s not in the clinic Rosie enjoys reading and writing, gardening, hiking, camping, and playing with her husband and two sons.

About Our Co-op

People's Organization of Community Acupuncture logoEDCA is a proud member of the People’s Organization of Community Acupuncture.  POCA is a rapidly-growing cooperative of people involved in the community acupuncture movement: acupuncturists, patients, clinics, and other supportive organizations. POCA recognizes that affordable community acupuncture clinics provide valuable benefits to everyone involved: patients get affordable acupuncture care, and acupuncturists get stable and rewarding jobs.  Other “supportive organizations” like needle vendors and t-shirt printers get dedicated customers who appreciate their shared interest in helping community acupuncture grow.  Everybody wins, and everybody can join- including you!

Membership starts at only $25, and benefits include free treatment on your birthday, waived new patient fees at all POCA member clinics worldwide, and 3 free treatment cards for friends and family. Your membership supports POCA’s new affordable acupuncture school, the opening of more community clinics through POCA’s micro-lending program, and low cost healthcare for underserved communities. You don’t have to be a member to receive treatment in our clinics. Learn more about the benefits of membership here.
